The DIG Traffic has decided to continue the one-day motorcycle licensing service. Under the initiative, both learner and regular licenses are issued on the same day.
In the past year, more than 2.96 million licenses were issued across the province, including over 14,000 to women and more than 100 to transgender citizens. Officials noted this as the first time in Pakistan’s history that such a facility has been made available on this scale.
DIG Muhammad Waqas Nazir said the step will reduce road accidents and create new employment opportunities by promoting legal driving.
