Schools across Lahore will reopen on September 1, but dozens of institutions in flood-affected areas will remain shut until further notice, officials confirmed Sunday.
The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore directed that all public and private schools in the city resume classes on Monday.
However, 45 schools located in areas severely impacted by flooding will remain closed until further notice as they are either damaged or being used as relief camps.

Authorities said the measure is aimed at ensuring student safety while also supporting ongoing rescue and relief operations in flood-hit neighborhoods. The affected schools will remain closed until conditions improve.

Suggested to be extended at least till September 03,2025 for all the schools instead of picking and choosing as any rain during the period ( as expected) will have traffic problems to pick and drops kids for parents too.
