The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has launched a major reform initiative aimed at modernizing its administrative structure by fully digitizing its human resource system.
In a statement issued by the Central Police Office, officials confirmed the development of a new platform called the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS). The application is designed to maintain complete digital service records for all police personnel across the province.
The system will keep track of postings, transfers, recruitments, retirements, promotions, training, and disciplinary actions, making the entire process more transparent and accessible. Officials emphasized that shifting to a digital format will not only streamline administration but also improve efficiency.
A notable feature of HRMIS is its ability to detect ghost employees, a long-standing issue that has affected institutional credibility. Authorities believe this measure will strengthen internal accountability while enhancing the overall performance of the police force.
According to the Central Police Office, the initiative represents a significant step toward aligning the KP Police with modern policing standards. By managing personnel data more effectively, the administration aims to improve internal operations and ultimately deliver better services to the public.
