6th Muslim Country Targeted
The recent airstrike in Doha highlights the widening scope of Israel’s military campaign, which has stretched across six Muslim countries over the past weeks.
Israeli forces have continued heavy bombardment of Gaza, intensifying pressure on the Palestinian enclave as part of their ongoing offensive.
Alongside operations in Gaza, Israel has launched repeated air raids in Lebanon and Syria, while also carrying out strikes in Yemen. Israel also targeted Iran previously.
On Saturday, a suspected Israeli drone targeted a Gaza-bound humanitarian flotilla docked in Tunisia.
Context of the Attack
The strike followed recent comments by Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir, who warned of plans to target Hamas leaders abroad. It also came shortly after Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced Israel’s acceptance of a US-backed ceasefire proposal for Gaza.
In Doha, Hamas representatives have been holding talks over the same proposal, while Israeli forces push ahead with their strategy to capture Gaza City.
Qatar Condemns Strike
Qatar’s foreign ministry strongly denounced the attack, calling it a “cowardly” and “criminal” act.
Spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari said the strike on residential buildings, where members of the Hamas political bureau were staying, violated international law and posed a direct threat to the safety of Qatari citizens and residents.
He stressed that Qatar “will not tolerate” such actions against its sovereignty and regional stability. Investigations are underway, and authorities pledged to release further details once available.
Local Impact and Security Response
According to Al Jazeera correspondent Suhaib al-Assa, the strike hit a residential neighborhood rather than an isolated facility. Security officials have focused on securing the area, assessing damage, and checking for casualties.
Al-Assa noted that procedures on the ground remain “extremely sensitive” given the location and potential risks involved.

No thanks. If govts are too scared to hold 1 country accountable. Then no need to donate my money
As long as Arab/Muslim countries turn a blind eye to what the Zionist state is doing to Palestinians, Israel would finish off all neighbours – one by one.
It is high time time that the ruling classes in 57 Muslim countries set aside their greed, corruption and power hungry mindset and face Israel.
The alternative is doom for which, they have no one else to blame but themselves.
