The schedule for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) has been revised in light of the ongoing flood crisis across the country, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Friday.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the change was made on the directives of Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) issuing a revised timetable.
The decision followed consultations with universities in all provinces, as well as in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, to ensure students from flood-affected areas are not disadvantaged.
Originally set for October 5, 2025, the MDCAT exam will now take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Health Minister Mustafa Kamal emphasized that the move was made in the best interest of students. He reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring equal educational opportunities for learners across Pakistan.
