Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Hamza Humayun chaired a high-level meeting at the Traffic Headquarters to review measures for ensuring smooth traffic flow in the federal capital.
The meeting was attended by SP Traffic Majid Iqbal and zonal DSPs. Officials assessed current arrangements and discussed strategies to address congestion at busy intersections and commercial hubs.
CTO Hamza Humayun directed all zonal officers to conduct staff audits within their respective areas and deploy personnel at high-traffic points during rush hours. He instructed officers to take strict action against wrong-way driving, including filing cases against violators, and to eliminate illegal parking that disrupts traffic flow.

He further ordered that traffic management during peak hours be carried out in an organized manner, with officers ensuring their presence at critical locations. Daily performance reports from zonal officers were also made mandatory.
Additionally, the CTO instructed that regular operations be launched against illegal parking in Islamabad’s commercial centers to maintain order on the roads.
