Punjab Eases Transfer Rules for Teachers

The Punjab government has relaxed the transfer policy for teachers seeking postings near their homes. Eligible teachers will now be exempt from the three-year service condition previously required before applying for a transfer.

Earlier, teachers had to complete at least three years at one station before becoming eligible for transfer.

Meanwhile, applications for transfers under the open merit category are currently being accepted online. Teachers can apply until September 28. The verification of applications will be completed by October 4, and transfer orders will be issued on October 15.
