The UAE Ministry of Education has confirmed that public schools across the country will now set aside time each day for students to perform the noon (Dhuhr) prayer in congregation.
Announcing the move on X (formerly Twitter), the ministry described schools as “homes of values as much as they are of knowledge,” highlighting the importance of nurturing faith alongside education.
A video released with the announcement showed students giving the call to prayer, preparing the prayer area, and performing the noon prayer together in designated halls. Many students were also seen expressing their joy at the new initiative.
