But now it’s time to rank Pakistan’s broadband internet providers, such as PTCL, Nayatel, Transworld, and others.

Pakistan’s Best Broadband Internet

As per data collected from millions of Speedtest users from January to June 2025, PTCL Flash Fiber was the best fixed internet provider in Pakistan during H1 2025 with a score of 56.95. However, this score was extremely close to Transworld and Nayatel, which scored 56.71 and 56.31, respectively, meaning the top 3 winners were nearly matched in the final standings.

Cybernet and Connect Communications also made it to the top 5, but non-fiber PTCL connections fell significantly behind on the leaderboard with a score of only 41.59.

City-Wise Performance

Islamabad topped the list of Pakistan’s major cities for median fixed download speeds, reaching 20.36 Mbps. Karachi ranked second, with Rawalpindi close behind in third place. At the lower end, Faisalabad recorded the slowest median speed at 13.77 Mbps, followed by Multan and Peshawar. Across six cities, PTCL Flash Fiber emerged as the fastest provider.

Regional Performance

On a regional level, the Islamabad Capital Territory also led the country with a median fixed download speed of 20.21 Mbps. Sindh came in second, while Balochistan secured third place. In contrast, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas reported the weakest performance, with speeds averaging just 5.31 Mbps, followed by Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTCL Flash Fiber again proved to be the fastest provider, this time across four regions.

  • So best broadband is at 46% of their own claimed speed .

That’s why internet is a joke in this country . Censorship won’t help

  • what a joke. ptcl has bad internet and bad customer service. Last time I had 4mbps package, they would provide 1.5 mbps/ish speed, when called for complaints, they would shrug and say “we only guarantee 40% speed”, and always issues with wire breaks and line men asking for “mithaai money” when they would grant us their visit after 5 days. Switched to Stormfiber and never looked back.. Last time I had issue with their internet service was 3 years ago which was resolved within 16 hour timeframe… Speed is awesome as well and on 20 mbps I’m usually getting 23-24 mbps most of the time. They even provide 40-50% speed during under sea wire break times when ptcl cease to work at all… How their name isn’t even mentioned in this list here shows biased nature of this blog. Seems more like a paid PTCL AD…

    • Customer service is why I am sticking with Stormfiber and not switching to PTCL’s “best” Internet speed at “affordable” prices.

Stormfiber has had issues in the past 2-3 years for me but they are quick to fix these slowness or breakdowns. I have suffered with PTCL during that worker strike around 2010 and have some serious questions about their reliability.
