Suzuki to Launch Locally Assembled Fronx in Pakistan

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) is preparing to launch the Suzuki Fronx, a compact SUV, in the first quarter of next year, sources confirmed. The model is expected to be locally assembled, which should help keep prices competitive.

The projected price range is between Rs. 6 million and Rs. 7 million. The Fronx will mark PSMC’s entry into Pakistan’s compact SUV market, where it will compete with established models like the Kia Stonic, Peugeot 2008, and MG ZS.

International versions of the Fronx feature a coupe-style roofline, bold front grille with gloss black elements, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The SUV measures about 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,550 mm in height, with a ground clearance of around 170 mm.

Interior Features

Depending on the trim, the international model offers a 9-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear AC vents, tilt-and-telescopic steering adjustment, and split-folding rear seats. Higher trims add conveniences like wireless charging and a head-up display.

Powertrain and Safety

Globally, the Fronx is available with a 1.5L petrol engine paired with a mild hybrid system. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.

Safety features in international variants include dual airbags as standard, with higher trims offering side and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and a 360-degree camera.

If launched with similar specifications, the locally assembled Suzuki Fronx could offer Pakistani buyers a modern and practical new SUV option.
