Electro Bus Service Launched in Another Punjab District

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Thursday inaugurated the first-ever electro bus service in Dera Ghazi Khan, calling it a historic milestone in transforming public transport in South Punjab.

Under the first phase, 101 electro buses are being allocated for the Dera Ghazi Khan division, with 24 buses now operational on multiple routes in the city. These include General Bus Stand to Kot Chutta, Choti Zareen, Sakhi Sarwar, Shah Din Saddar, and a loop service through DG Khan city.

Each fully air-conditioned bus is equipped with Wi-Fi, charging ports, CCTV cameras, and separate compartments for women. The initiative aims to provide safe, affordable, and modern commuting options for citizens, including students and persons with disabilities.
