General Manager of Pakistan Steel Mills Reportedly Arrested in Theft Case

The General Manager of Pakistan Steel Mills has been arrested on charges of stealing iron ore and copper from the company’s stores.

According to police, Bin Qasim Police carried out the raid after receiving a tip-off about the theft. The suspect, identified as Syed Saadat Ali, who was serving as General Manager Stores at the mill, was taken into custody along with stolen goods.

Police said they recovered 40 kilograms of copper and the vehicle used in the theft from his possession. The recovered copper is said to be worth millions of rupees.

Investigators revealed that the accused had been secretly transporting valuables using the same vehicle and selling them at different warehouses. He was also serving as manager in the ACTC department and held charge of four departments at the mill.

A case has been registered, the vehicle has been seized, and police have launched a search for other accomplices involved in the crime.
