Islamabad Police Launches Action Against Bikers of Ride-Hailing Companies Breaking 2 Traffic Rules

The Islamabad Traffic Police has announced strict action against bikers of online ride-hailing companies failing to comply with passenger safety regulations, starting October 1.

Helmets Made Mandatory for Passengers

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic, Hamza Humayun, said bike service providers will face penalties if they do not give helmets to passengers.

No Triple Riding

Triple-riding by service providers will also be strictly penalized.

Heavy Fines and Detentions

Under the new measures, motorcycles from bike-hailing services found violating rules will be detained, and riders will face jail terms along with heavy fines

The Islamabad Police has urged bike service companies to enforce strict compliance among their riders before the campaign begins on October 1.
