Season 4 of the International League T20 (ILT20) is set to kick off with a historic, first-ever player auction today, and several Pakistani cricketers will be at the heart of the action.
According to official documents, 16 players from Pakistan will be up for grabs among the 300-player pool, with names like Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub headlining a strong contingent eager to test the waters of franchise cricket’s newest frontier.
One Pakistani who won’t face the drama of auction day is Haider Ali. The aggressive middle-order batter has already been snapped up by Dubai Capitals during the pre-auction phase. Alongside him, there are conflicting reports suggesting that Usman Tariq, the maverick off-spinner, has been signed as a wildcard pick by the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
The auction is structured across four price slabs: $120,000, $80,000, $40,000, and $10,000.
As far as the ILT20 auction goes, the majority of Pakistani players have registered in the $80,000 category. While no Pakistanis appear in the top $120,000 bracket, their presence in the $80,000 tier is significant as that group is expected to attract competitive bids given its balance of experience and potential. With franchises like Gulf Giants and Dubai Capitals carrying over $1 million in auction purses, there’s ample room for investment in Pakistani talent.

Pakistan has always maintained a notable presence in the ILT20, and players will be hoping that the first-ever auction brings good fortune their way after missing out during the retention period.
ILT20 Season 4 begins on December 2 and will run through to January 4, 2026. By the time the hammer falls later today, Pakistani fans will know exactly which franchises their stars will represent. What’s certain is that, in this landmark auction featuring nearly 300 players, Pakistan’s cricketers are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the league’s next chapter.
