Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) has launched a new variant of its multipurpose vehicle (MPV), the Karvaan Power Comfort 1.2L, at an introductory price of Rs. 3.149 million.
The launch comes weeks after the company introduced the Karvaan Power Plus 1.2L in August, which has sold over 1,000 units within 50 days, according to company figures.
The newly introduced Karvaan Power Comfort will sit below the Power Plus variant in the lineup, offering a comparatively lower-priced option in the MPV segment. It is equipped with safety features including dual airbags, seatbelts for all passengers, and an anti-theft alarm.
The Karvaan Power Plus, which will continue as the higher-end model, remains positioned as the flagship version with additional safety and comfort features along with a larger cabin size.
Here’s a detailed comparison of the two variants:
MCML has been marketing the Karvaan lineup as its main offering in the small MPV category, which caters to families as well as commercial operators. The company said that more than 25,000 Karvaan vehicles are currently in use nationwide.
With this new addition, Changan will now offer two 1.2L Karvaan models in Pakistan — the Power Plus and the Power Comfort — targeting different segments of buyers within the market.

This will be flop as safety features in Power Plus model are important in today’s world. They could have launched the automatic transmission model of Karvaan and see it sell like hot cakes.
Shameful for our automotive industry, can’t design, manufacture, innovate or assemble, even by importing Chinese mage engine, transmission & other component’s. Yet, charging hefty price for junk on wheels….. Better to stop notorious assemblers & import quality cars, even from Thailand !
