The Green Electric Bus Project in Faisalabad is facing serious setbacks just days after its launch, reportedly due to administrative inefficiency and untrained drivers.
Within only three days, four electric buses were involved in minor road accidents, resulting in damage to their side mirrors and indicators.
The project, which was inaugurated by the Punjab Chief Minister just four days ago, was hailed as a major step toward eco-friendly urban transport. However, officials now face criticism for deploying inexperienced drivers, leading to repeated mishaps shortly after operations began.
Residents have expressed concern that negligence in training and supervision could jeopardize the success of the city’s much-anticipated electric transport initiative.
