The first snowfall of the season has begun in the scenic regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Mansehra, turning the mountains and valleys into stunning white landscapes. With the snow, temperatures have dropped sharply, bringing an early wave of winter chill for both locals and tourists.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, the first flakes began falling at altitudes around 4,500 meters, blanketing the towering peaks near Gilgit. The snowfall has now spread to distant areas, including Khunjerab Pass, Babusar Top, and Barzul Top, covering the mountains with a thick layer of snow.
Alongside the snow, gusty winds and light rain have added to the cold, making the weather even more intense. Locals and visitors are taking extra precautions to stay warm as conditions grow harsher.
Meanwhile, in Mansehra, popular tourist destinations such as Babusar Top, Besar, and Noori Top also received their first spell of snow. The light snowfall has transformed these spots into postcard-perfect scenes, drawing a large number of tourists eager to enjoy the winter charm.
Authorities have advised travelers to be cautious while driving in the upper areas, as roads may become slippery due to snow and ice.
