Private Airline’s Operations Suspended Due to Non-Compliance

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has suspended the commercial flight operations of private carrier Serene Air after the airline failed to maintain a serviceable fleet, officials confirmed on Friday.

According to a notification, the authority expressed “grave concern” over the airline’s inability to meet the regulatory requirement of maintaining a prescribed minimum fleet size.

The document stated that Serene Air currently has “zero serviceable aircraft available for operations,” leaving it unable to sustain the operational capacity required to conduct safe air travel under CAA rules.

As a result, the CAA announced the suspension of Serene Air’s air operator certificate with immediate effect. The carrier has been directed to surrender its certificates to the authority for endorsement.

In an official statement following the CAA’s decision, the airline said, “We would like to inform our valued passengers and stakeholders that our flight operations are temporarily suspended. This is a short term situation, and we are working diligently with all relevant authorities and partners to ensure a swift return to service.”

It added, “Our team is fully committed to resolving the matter quickly and efficiently. We want to assure you that this is a temporary pause, and our priority remains the safety, comfort, and trust of our passengers.”
