PAA Report Reveals the No.1 Major Airport in Pakistan

In the latest audit conducted by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Islamabad International Airport has been declared the top-performing major airport, while Multan International Airport secured the first position among regional hubs.

The 2024 audit assessed airports based on passenger facilities, service delivery, and overall operations. Islamabad Airport outperformed Karachi and Lahore, while Multan Airport was ranked higher than Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Quetta among regional airports.

The audit highlighted the excellent operational performance of both airports, with special appreciation letters issued to the managers of Islamabad and Multan for their exemplary services.

Key areas evaluated during the inspection included passenger amenities, terminal cleanliness, and airside safety standards. The audit also reviewed the performance of airport lighting systems, lifts, baggage handling systems, and luggage management.

Additionally, compliance with security protocols and the efficiency of rescue and firefighting services were examined as part of the headquarters audit.

  • Absolutely rubbish report. Ask us, the passengers who use Islamabad airport couple of times a month, both for local and international flights. I wonder what standards this audit firm is using. Filthy bathrooms, very limited facilities at the airport (I.e..the stores leave alot to be desired), and the biggest pain points, waiting more than 45 mins for our luggage to arrive, long waiting lines to enter the airport, the massive fish market at departure and arrival. What a load of rubbish
