The UAE Ministry of Education has introduced a new digital tuition fee payment platform for expatriate students enrolled in government schools who do not possess Emirati ID cards or official residency documents, Emarat Al Youm reported.
The move, detailed in a recent circular issued to public school administrations, is part of the ministry’s ongoing strategy to digitise services and streamline administrative processes across the education sector.

How to Make Online Payments
Under the new system, parents and guardians can now pay tuition fees directly through the ministry’s official website (www.moe.gov.ae) using their child’s student ID number.
The process involves nine simple steps, beginning with accessing the portal via the “Important Links” section and selecting “Payment of Tuition Fees.” After logging in with UAE Pass and a registered mobile number, users select “Pay for Another Person,” enter the student’s number, confirm the payable amount, and complete the transaction.
Upon successful payment, an electronic receipt is automatically generated and sent both to the user’s screen and registered phone number.
The ministry emphasised that bank transfers and manual deposits are no longer accepted, except through officially recognised charitable organisations. It also warned parents against making personal or direct bank transfers, confirming that the official website is now the only authorised payment channel.
Schools Pilot New Student Dismissal Procedures
In a related development, several government schools have begun testing new student dismissal procedures, launching a feedback survey for students and parents to enhance safety and daily operations.
According to official school notices reviewed by Emarat Al Youm, three authorised dismissal methods are currently in place — school bus, private car (guardian or driver), or on foot. Students walking home must provide written parental consent and carry a designated exit card for safety verification.
The survey aims to gather opinions on traffic flow, road safety measures, procedural clarity, and how well the dismissal timings align with parents’ schedules. Participants are encouraged to share suggestions for improvement.
School officials stated that the collected feedback will help refine future dismissal plans, ensuring the process remains safe, efficient, and family-friendly. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening parent-school collaboration and maintaining a secure, well-organised learning environment for all students.
