September 2025 Was Fifth Hottest Month in Last 65 Years

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the nationwide weather summary for September 2025, revealing significant variations in temperature and rainfall patterns across the country.

According to the report, average rainfall during the month stood at 32.5 millimetres, which is 52 per cent higher than normal. The highest single-day rainfall was recorded in Thatta, Sindh, where 110 mm of rain fell on September 10.

In contrast, Turbat and Sibi experienced the highest temperatures in Balochistan, marking September 2025 as the fifth warmest September in Pakistan’s last 65 years.

Meanwhile, Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan remained the coldest region, with an average minimum temperature of 11.3°C recorded during the month.
