The Sindh government has also given the green light to a public-private partnership project aimed at transforming rice and wheat farming in Sindh through the adoption of modern, mechanised agricultural methods.
Under this initiative, advanced farming machinery will be made available to farmers on a rental basis, helping to improve efficiency and boost crop yields.
The project’s core goal is to enhance productivity and streamline cultivation and harvesting processes for both rice and wheat. As part of the approval, funding was allocated for a feasibility study, paving the way for the project’s formal launch in the coming months.
Additionally, the board approved a feasibility study for the development of a tomato cluster processing facility in Thatta district, aimed at strengthening the province’s agricultural value chain.
