How to Avoid Parking Fee at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai

Ahead of GITEX Global 2025, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, visitors have been urged to plan their travel carefully as Parkin has introduced a variable Major Events Parking tariff (Code X) around the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The temporary measure is designed to manage traffic congestion and heavy parking demand during the event.

The annual tech gathering will take place from October 13 to 17 at DWTC, featuring over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors representing more than 180 countries. With massive attendance expected, parking around the venue is anticipated to be limited.

To ensure smoother traffic flow, Parkin has activated Code X parking, setting the rate at Dh25 per hour during the event. The move aims to balance accessibility with effective traffic management. Visitors are advised to use public transport or off-site parking to avoid delays and high parking costs.

Understanding Zone X Parking

Zone X refers to designated parking areas around DWTC that follow the variable rate system during major events.

  • Rate: Dh25 per hour
  • When active: During large-scale events like GITEX
  • Identification: Signage indicating “Code X” zones

Although these spaces are close to the venue, they are premium-priced, making public transport or Park & Ride services the smarter choice for most visitors.

Smart Travel Options

1. Take the Dubai Metro

The Dubai Metro Red Line offers direct access to World Trade Centre Station, providing a seamless and efficient way to reach GITEX without worrying about parking.

Fare: Approx. Dh15 for Silver Class and Dh25 for Gold Class (round trip)

Tip: Keep your NOL card topped up via the NOL Pay app or station machines.

2. Use Buses or the Dubai Tram

Dubai’s extensive RTA public transport network connects all major areas to DWTC. The Shail app can help you plan the best route based on your location.

3. Save with Taxi Discounts

Visitors preferring taxis can avail a 20% discount on Careem rides using the promo code GITEX2025, offering a convenient alternative to parking near the venue.

Park & Ride Alternatives

If driving is unavoidable, Parkin and RTA recommend using Metro station parking and completing the journey by train.

Suggested Metro Stations for Parking:

  • National Paints Station
  • Centrepoint Station
  • e& Station

Alternatively, multi-storey car parks outside the Code X area—such as Al Jaffliya and Al Satwa Car Parks—offer more affordable options.

Plan for a Seamless Experience

By using public transportation or Park & Ride facilities, visitors can avoid the Dh25 hourly Code X fee, skip traffic congestion, and arrive at GITEX Global 2025 hassle-free—ready to explore the latest innovations, startups, and technologies shaping the future.
