For the first time, the National Information Technology Board (NITB), under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, is participating in GITEX 2025, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, to highlight the Government of Pakistan’s digital transformation initiatives.
NITB will showcase flagship government digital platforms, including e-Office, a robust and secure system enabling paperless governance across all federal ministries and departments.
Other key initiatives to be presented include the Cabinet Portal, PakApp, Government-to-Government (G2G) and Government-to-Citizen (G2C) digital services, as well as the One Patient, One ID health initiative.
GITEX is a premier global technology event, drawing over 200,000 visitors and more than 6,500 exhibitors from more than 180 countries. Pakistan’s presence helps position the country as a serious player in the international tech ecosystem. The country’s IT/ITeS industry already exports to around 170 countries and can further highlight its cost-competitive advantages, including up to 70% lower operational costs compared to North America.
GITEX is also a marketplace for investors, corporates, and startups to meet and forge deals. Pakistan’s participation could open doors for venture capital, public/private partnerships, and joint R&D agreements. The “Expand North Star” segment of GITEX draws thousands of startups and hundreds of global investors.
