CM Punjab Announces Electric Bus Service for Raiwind

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a three-day electric bus service to facilitate participants of the upcoming Raiwind religious congregation.

During a meeting with members of the Tablighi Jamaat’s central consultative council on Monday, the Chief Minister said the buses would operate from the Lahore railway station and airport to Raiwind throughout the congregation.

She directed the provincial administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the event, instructing senior officials including the Deputy Commissioner, CCPO, DIG, and CTO to personally inspect preparations.

Maryam Nawaz also ordered road repairs and patchwork on routes leading to Raiwind, alongside the reconstruction of three major roads in the area. A special cleanliness drive, including sanitation work and rosewater spraying, will be carried out from November 1.

The Tablighi Jamaat delegation lauded the electric bus initiative and appreciated the Chief Minister’s ongoing public welfare projects, including the construction of 90,000 homes across Punjab.

Speaking at the meeting, CM Maryam Nawaz said serving the people is an act of worship for her and sought prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and for those affected by recent floods.
