Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline flyadeal is set to launch twice-weekly flights between Riyadh and Lahore starting October 27, marking its fifth destination in Pakistan within just three months as the carrier accelerates its growth in South Asia.
A subsidiary of the Kingdom’s national airline Saudia, flyadeal entered Pakistan’s aviation market in August, beginning with services to Karachi, followed by Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot. With the addition of Lahore, the airline will now operate 18 flights per week to Pakistan.
“It’s been a fabulous few months for us building flyadeal’s successful Pakistan operations with new routes in quick succession,” said Steven Greenway, CEO of flyadeal.
He added that the airline fast-tracked its Lahore launch due to strong market demand and available aircraft capacity, noting that the route will serve the needs of Pakistan’s 2.7 million-strong expatriate community in Saudi Arabia.
All flights to Pakistan will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 186 all-economy seats to offer affordable travel options while maintaining high frequency.
The expansion is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, under which flyadeal aims to strengthen regional connectivity. Established in 2017, the airline now operates 42 aircraft to more than 30 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and South Asia.
