A drug addict in Karachi’s Baldia Mowach Goth area set four children on fire after dousing them with petrol.
According to details, the incident took place in Cheela Goth. The suspect poured kerosene on a bundle of cloth, set it ablaze, and threw it at the children. The victims included a 13-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy, both of whom later succumbed to their injuries at Civil Hospital Karachi.
Police officials said the children sustained burn injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victims include two four-year-olds, a six-year-old, and a two-year-old.
Authorities stated that the man, reportedly under the influence of drugs, attacked the children after being disturbed by the noise from their play. He later attempted to take his own life by slitting his throat.
Police took him into custody, but the suspect succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.
