The commission said the decision has been taken in light of the upcoming expiration of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly’s five-year constitutional term on November 24. The restrictions will remain in force until the completion of the provincial and local government elections and the announcement of official results.

The Election Commission has instructed all relevant departments to ensure strict compliance with the order, emphasizing that any violation will be treated as a breach of the election code of conduct.
