A shocking incident of violence took place at PIMS Hospital, where a senior doctor allegedly assaulted a trainee doctor inside the facility.
According to details, the victim, Dr. Ibrahim, has submitted a written application at Karachi Company Police Station, seeking registration of a case.
In his application, Dr. Ibrahim stated that he went to the burn center for duty when a guard stopped him on orders of senior doctor Abdul Khaliq. Soon after, Dr. Abdul Khaliq, along with his associates, allegedly attacked him.
He added that the senior doctor also smashed his mobile phone during the assault.
Dr. Ibrahim further claimed that he was kept locked inside a room for two hours after being beaten.
The trainee doctor said that Dr. Abdul Khaliq also threatened to fire him from his job and even kill him if he reported the matter.
He has requested immediate action against the senior doctor.
