The Punjab government has decided to launch 25 major development projects soon, including the construction of underpasses, flyovers, road expansions, and the conversion of single-lane highways into dual carriageways.
According to official reports, these projects carry a total estimated cost of Rs. 88.65 billion, and work on them is expected to begin shortly.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Construction and Communications, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharath. During the session, the minister received a detailed briefing on the progress of all 25 upcoming projects from officials of the Communication and Works Department.
Minister Sohaib Ahmad Bharath announced that the Barqi Road in Lahore will be converted into a dual carriageway at a cost of Rs. 2.24 billion. He added that the development plan also includes the expansion of Kashmiri Bazaar, along with the construction of new underpasses and flyovers.
Additionally, the Sheikhupura–Farooqabad Road will be upgraded to a dual carriageway at an estimated cost of Rs. 6.94 billion. The minister directed authorities to expedite all necessary procedures to ensure timely completion.

The original comment says AROUND lahore. And that’s true. Open the map of punjab and see what 70% punjab has seen for decades. Lahore and its surrounding (mainly upper punjab) gets the most development while other districts are deprived of basic necessities
You would have known had you belonged to certain political party.
You do understand that you’re reading a website blog and not official gov records of project unless you’re from a certain party. it only mentioned 2 projects worth 10-12 billion not the entire list of 87 billion worth of projects. Surprised?

Good , plz see to thokar niaz baig also. It has no trafic lights. It’s very congested. Every one wants to go first .it needs at least 5 or 6 traffic lights. I pass the road nearly every day . Its very bad. No cops are seen managing the traffic.

A wise step by the government 👏 for upgrading and construction of roads underpass and overhead in Lahore.
Can someone put some heed on jandiala road(mere 2 km belt,approx),which has gain the title of deteriorating piece of road.
Ironically, sheikhupura sports stadium, which cost billions of rupees,is very much affected by this notorious road…. numerous accidents,the worst for humanity and vehicles as well .
In rainy days,noone can dare to pass on the road and above all,when there are no rains,a storm of dust eaten away the lives of the inhabitants and the passers…

For them,only Lahore is considered as Punjab
I have requested to CM Punjab kindly do something for the under construction Fly over at Nadirabad Industrial Estate which was pending since long. Every day facing big troubles at this flyover. Under the flyover road still uncompleted kindly instruct to concerned department for completion of roads and related work.
