Lenovo has officially launched the AI Glasses V1 in China, with sales set to begin on November 9. Priced at approximately $562, the smart wearable focuses on offering AI-enhanced features in a compact and lightweight design.
Compact Design and Display
The AI Glasses V1 weigh just 38 grams and are designed for comfort during long-term use. Lenovo has used a resin diffraction light waveguide display that reaches up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The lenses are 1.8mm thick, and the 15×11mm eye box range allows stable visuals even when the user slightly adjusts their position. The frame is built to reduce pressure on both the nose and ears, enhancing wearability.
AI-Powered Features
Lenovo has equipped the glasses with dual microphones and stereo speakers to support hands-free calls and audio playback. The device runs on the company’s Tianxi intelligent assistant, which enables voice control, real-time translation, and search capabilities. The translation feature shows bilingual voice and text output directly in the user’s field of view, functioning like a heads-up interpreter.
A built-in teleprompter function is also included, aimed at presenters and content creators. Paired with Lenovo’s smart ring accessory, users can navigate slides or scroll through scripts without needing to look away from their audience.
Control and Compatibility
Touch-sensitive controls are integrated into the temple arms, letting users manage calls, messages, and on-screen information without using a smartphone. An AI-based navigation system provides real-time visual and audio guidance, although it currently works only with Android devices. The device supports both single-eye (monocular) and dual-eye (binocular) display modes.
Battery and Charging
Battery performance varies depending on the mode in use. In teleprompter mode, the glasses can operate for up to 4 hours. Translation mode provides between 8 to 10 hours of use. At maximum brightness and volume, users can expect around 2.6 hours of continuous playback. The device supports fast charging, taking approximately 40 minutes for a full charge. Standby time is rated at up to 250 hours. Bluetooth 5.4 handles wireless connectivity.
