Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah met Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, at the CM House in Karachi to discuss investment and cooperation in transport and logistics. The meeting aimed to boost ties between Sindh and Saudi Arabia in infrastructure, connectivity, and trade.
During the meeting, both sides explored the possibility of launching direct flights between Karachi and Medina, a move expected to strengthen business, tourism, and people-to-people links. The proposal drew strong interest from both governments, who see improved air connectivity as a key step toward deeper economic and cultural exchange.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah welcomed the Saudi delegation and said Sindh offers major investment potential in transport, logistics, and infrastructure. He invited Saudi investors to join upcoming development projects, including rapid transit and light rail systems in Karachi.
Shah said the Sindh government is committed to creating an investor-friendly environment that ensures long-term partnerships and sustainable growth. Saudi Minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser praised Sindh’s progress in infrastructure and transport development.
He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to expanding collaboration with Pakistan under the broader Saudi Vision 2030. “Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are entering a new era of partnership,” Al-Jasser said. “We are ready to work together for development and to strengthen our historic friendship.”
