After introducing the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro in China last month, Honor is now preparing to bring the Magic8 Pro to global markets, starting with Malaysia. The company has begun teasing the phone’s upcoming release on its official X account, although it has not confirmed a specific launch date yet.
The Magic8 Pro will be the first of the series to launch internationally. So far, there is no indication that the standard Magic8 will accompany it in this rollout, as it has not been mentioned in any promotional material.
The Honor Magic8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and features a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1256 x 2808 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
On the back, the device includes a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. The front-facing camera is a 50MP sensor with autofocus as well.
The phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 and houses a 7,200mAh battery, one of the largest capacities seen in a flagship phone this year.
More details, including availability and pricing, are expected in the coming days as the Malaysian launch draws closer.
