Punjab to Reportedly Buy New Vehicles for VIP Security

The Punjab government has reportedly decided to purchase 25 new vehicles to improve security arrangements for VIPs across the province.

According to official sources cited by City 42, the new fleet will cost over Rs. 270 million. The vehicles to be procured include Toyota Hilux Revo G, Rocco, and 4×2 models, with each unit priced between Rs. 7 million and Rs. 15 million, depending on specifications.

These vehicles will be equipped with bar lights and special fabrication to meet operational requirements. They will be deployed for use by the Punjab Police and the Special Branch.

Earlier this year, the Punjab government also approved the purchase of five jammer-equipped vehicles to support VVIP security and movement.

According to official documents, Rs. 467.2 million was allocated for the purchase of two imported Land Cruisers and three Land Cruiser Prados, with tenders issued following cabinet approval.
