GWM Launches Haval H6 PHEV FWD in Pakistan

Haval has officially unveiled a new front-wheel-drive (FWD) variant of the H6 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan, offering buyers a more affordable alternative to the existing all-wheel-drive (AWD) model.

The new H6 PHEV FWD has started arriving at dealerships across the country and is now on display. However, the company has yet to announce its official price.

What Has Changed?

The biggest change is the drivetrain.

Unlike the current H6 PHEV Hi4 AWD, which features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, the new variant uses a single electric motor driving the front wheels. It is also paired with a DHT-1 hybrid transmission instead of the DHT-3 gearbox found in the AWD version.

The simplified drivetrain reduces overall performance but improves driving range.

The H6 PHEV FWD produces 322 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque, compared to 360 horsepower and 760 Nm in the AWD model.

Despite the lower output, the FWD variant offers a 106 km NEDC electric-only range and a combined driving range of 1,106 km, slightly higher than the AWD model’s 100 km EV range and 1,043 km combined range.
