Significant progress has been reported in the ongoing construction of the Neela Gumbad Parking Plaza Project in Lahore, according to official sources.
The multi-level facility is being developed over an area of 16 kanals and will feature three basement levels to accommodate growing parking needs in the city’s busy commercial zone.
Officials confirmed that nearly half of the pile foundation work has been completed, with 222 out of 457 piles now in place. The casting of the cap beam has also begun, marking another milestone in the project’s advancement.
The parking plaza, which is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.45 billion, is scheduled for completion by June 2026. Once finished, it is expected to ease traffic congestion in central Lahore by providing organized parking space for hundreds of vehicles.
Authorities also shared that work on relocating sewerage, water supply, LESCO, and other utility services is currently underway to facilitate smooth progress on-site. In the next phase, the process of shifting trees from the construction area will begin in coordination with the relevant departments.
