Punjab Confirms Two More Major Public Transport Projects

Punjab’s Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is delivering on her promises to the people through consistent and large-scale development across the province.

She noted that Punjab’s growth journey now includes several transformative projects aimed at improving connectivity and public welfare. Bokhari confirmed that after the success of the Metro Bus and Orange Line initiatives, the provincial government is preparing to launch new tram and high-speed train services.

She added that Maryam Nawaz has approved the creation of the Punjab Air Company and introduced the province’s first-ever Air Ambulance Service.

The minister said that development projects are being implemented without discrimination, stretching from Attock to Rahim Yar Khan and Lahore to Sadiqabad. She also shared that the Rs. 100 billion relief package for flood-affected citizens is being distributed daily, while the “Kissan Card” program continues to support farmers with direct financial assistance.

Under the second phase of the “Kissan Card” scheme, farmers have already received Rs. 100 billion in aid. Meanwhile, the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” housing initiative is building 110,000 homes across the province, with an average of 290 new houses completed each day.
