AOC Launches 27-Inch Mini LED Gaming Monitor With Extreme Color Accuracy

AOC has added a new model to its AGON Pro series with the launch of the Q27G20SM, a high-end gaming monitor unveiled on the company’s official website in China. Pricing and release details are yet to be confirmed.

Display and Brightness

The AGON Pro Q27G20SM features a 27-inch Fast IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It supports a 320Hz refresh rate and is built with a full-array Mini LED backlight that includes 1,152 individually controlled dimming zones. The monitor delivers a typical brightness of 600 nits in SDR, goes up to 700 nits in HDR, and peaks at 1,200 nits. It is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 1000.

Performance and Color Accuracy

With a 16:9 aspect ratio and 178-degree viewing angles, the monitor offers a 0.3ms MPRT and 1ms GtG response time, targeting fast-paced gaming needs. It supports Adaptive-Sync and AMD FreeSync for smoother visuals. The panel covers 99% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3, and 100% sRGB color spaces and includes Quantum Dot technology. AOC has factory-calibrated the display with a Delta E < 1 rating and provides a six-axis color adjustment tool for more precise tuning.

Ports and Build

Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The display has slim 2mm bezels with a 5.9mm black border. The stand supports tilt, height adjustment, swivel, and pivot, and it includes a quick-release mechanism for VESA mounting.

Gaming Utilities and Features

The Q27G20SM comes with several gaming-specific features such as dynamic crosshair overlays, a sniper mode, dark field control, motion blur reduction, and game-specific color settings. It also supports picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes. Additional tools include flicker-free operation, low blue light options, customizable shortcut keys, and compatibility with AOC’s G-Menu software for display management.

AOC recently released a 260Hz IPS gaming monitor offering professional color accuracy at a lower price point, as well as the AGON Pro AGP327UZD, which features LG’s third-generation WOLED panel and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.
