Bad News for Karachi Traffic Police Officials

Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has imposed a complete ban on the transfer of traffic police personnel following the implementation of the e-challan system across Karachi.

According to the official order, no officer or constable will be transferred from the traffic police to district police departments. The directive also applies to those whose transfer notifications had already been issued.

IG Memon stated that the decision aims to maintain stability in traffic management and ensure the effective enforcement of the newly launched e-challan system.

The move comes after the DIG Traffic revealed that several officers had started requesting transfers following the introduction of the e-challan system in Karachi. Many underperforming personnel reportedly sought to move from traffic police.

  • Instead of e challan ticketing system should introduce like in canada and US. Driving licence should confiscated after issuing 5 tickets in one year. All vehicles including Motorcycle and Rickshaw must computerised registered and all have full insurance coverage
