The Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works on Friday directed the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) to provide complete details of its new housing project near Islamabad Airport in the next sitting.
The committee, chaired by Senator Nasir Mehmood, discussed the FGEHA project, which will be launched under a public-private partnership (PPP). Members requested full details, including the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with ZKB Town.
The committee stressed that all PPP projects must follow policy and Executive Board decisions to ensure transparency.
FGEHA recently signed the MoU with ZKB Town to develop a large-scale residential project under the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025, based on the End Product Model. The authority said the project aims to provide quality and affordable residential plots for federal government employees.
In its initial phase, it will cover over 6,000 kanals near Islamabad International Airport and Motorway M-14, accommodating approximately 10,000 registered members.
