Parliamentarians Reportedly Feast on Halwa and Lassi After Completing Work on 27th Amendment

Senators from coalition parties attended a breakfast reception hosted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Parliament House on Monday morning, held in honour of lawmakers who reportedly supported the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

The event took place at the Banquet Hall of Parliament House, where the prime minister met coalition senators to express gratitude for their cooperation on the latest amendment.

Key cabinet members, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, were also present.

Guests were served a traditional breakfast featuring chapati, naan, halwa, fried eggs, omelettes, potato bhaji, lassi, and cold beverages.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar briefed attendees on the key points of the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which introduces major reforms to Pakistan’s military command structure and judicial system.

The amendment proposes the creation of a Chief of the Defence Forces, replacing the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and establishes a Federal Constitutional Court to handle constitutional disputes.
