The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has intensified its enforcement drive, sealing offices of 14 unauthorized housing schemes within the jurisdiction of the River Ravi Urban Development Project (RRUDP) over the past month.
According to officials, RUDA’s enforcement teams, assisted by police, conducted multiple operations across the project area. During the raids, the teams dismantled illegal infrastructure and sealed the offices of the unapproved societies.
The authority also halted the sale and purchase of plots in these locations to prevent further violations.
On Monday, RUDA carried out another operation at Ghausia Colony on Katarband Road within the Ravi City limits. The enforcement team sealed the colony’s office and demolished unapproved infrastructure built on-site.
Officials stated that the crackdown aims to curb unauthorized construction and protect citizens from fraudulent housing schemes. They warned that any society found operating without proper approval from RUDA will be declared illegal, and its offices will face immediate sealing and demolition.
