Honor 500 Spotted in Live Images Ahead of Official Launch

Honor is preparing to unveil the Honor 500 series in China, following the release of the Honor 400 lineup in May. Although the official launch date has not been announced yet, the Honor 500 has been featured in live images on Weibo, providing an early glimpse of the new device.

The latest photos show the Honor 500 in the hands of Olympic diving champion Chen Yuxi. The handset introduces a horizontal camera layout on the rear, matching leaked design sketches from earlier this month.

The back panel displays a two-tone finish, with a deeper color around the camera visor area. The visor itself appears less pronounced than what’s seen on the iPhone Air, though the design does draw some inspiration from Apple’s styling. The phone’s sides are framed in metal with a flat profile.

Speculation around the Honor 500 suggests it will include a 6.6-inch display with a punch hole cutout and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

The main rear camera is rumored to feature a 200MP sensor. According to a Geekbench listing, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM.

Earlier reports have also pointed to a substantial 8,000mAh battery. Honor is expected to reveal more details about the Honor 500 series in the near future.
