Galaxy S26 Ultra Leak Reveals Major Upgrade to Its 200MP Main Camera

A new leak suggests that Samsung will continue using the 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s primary camera, but with a notable improvement.

Tipster UniverseIce has backed earlier reports about the sensor and added that Samsung is changing the aperture this year.

The same 200MP HP2 sensor powers the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but that model comes with an f/1.7 aperture. For the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the aperture is reportedly moving to f/1.4.

This adjustment should allow the camera to capture more light, which will help the phone deliver clearer and brighter images in low-light conditions.

The HP2 sensor also supports pixel-binning, producing photos at 12.5MP, 50MP, or full 200MP resolution depending on the shooting mode.

Previous leaks indicate that the 200MP main camera will be paired with a 50MP ultrawide unit using Samsung’s JN3 sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera based on Sony’s IMX854, and a 12MP telephoto module using Samsung’s S5K3LD. The front camera is expected to feature a 12MP sensor from Sony’s IMX874 line, suitable for selfies and video calls.
