A PIA Flight Attendant Disappears in Canada…Yet Again

Another incident of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) crew member allegedly disappearing abroad has emerged after a senior flight attendant reportedly went missing during a layover in Canada.

According to the airline, senior flight attendant Asif Najam vanished sometime between November 16 and 19 after serving a Lahore-Toronto flight. He was scheduled to return to Lahore on November 19 but never reported for duty.

A PIA spokesperson said the crew member claimed he was unwell when contacted, but the airline has not received any official medical verification. Authorities are now investigating whether the disappearance was intentional.

The spokesperson confirmed that an internal inquiry is in progress. “If the flight attendant is found to have disappeared illegally, strict departmental action will be taken,” the official stated.

PIA noted that similar incidents have occurred in the past, with multiple crew members slipping away during foreign layovers — an issue that continues to raise concerns about monitoring and accountability within the national carrier.

Officials say PIA may introduce stricter oversight and enforcement measures to prevent further disappearances as the airline continues its broader organizational reforms.

What action? They will fire him from the job he ran away from?

    PIA is a joke.
