The Excise and Taxation Department Islamabad has expanded M-Tag service timings, allowing residents to access all ten centers seven days a week.
Director Excise and Taxation Bilal Azam said the service will now remain available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 9 pm, matching weekday hours.
The department said the move aims to facilitate residents who cannot visit during regular working days. All designated centers across Islamabad will now offer M-Tag registration, renewal, and assistance throughout the extended schedule.
Officials have instructed staff to ensure smooth service delivery and maintain full attendance during the expanded hours.

Thats nice
We go once in two years in other cities that led us use motorways therefore M tag no need however, we can install Etags for Islamabad only
They have one of the most stupid service delivery system. I’ve a vehicle in my name since 2019 when there were scarce m-tags. On presenting the vehicle’s credentials the staff checked their record and said you better contact our helpline because your vehicle is already registered for an m-tag. And it was not the previous owner who had kept it for years!
Because of the exorbitant road taxation on motorways, I’ve reverted back to the beaten old roads. Piss off on their 3rd rate service!
