Babar Azam Ties Virat Kohli for Another Major T20I Landmark

Babar Azam and batting records go hand in hand, and the Pakistani superstar added another glittering milestone to his T20I legacy on Sunday night with a fifty against Zimbabwe at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

With his latest fifty-plus score, he officially tied India’s Virat Kohli for the most half-centuries in the format.

The former Pakistan captain reached his 38th T20I fifty, further cementing his status as one of the modern era’s most consistent white-ball performers. Babar brought up the landmark in the 14th over, steering his way to a well-constructed half-century off 43 balls. His innings featured a blend of classical strokes and calculated aggression, including four boundaries in the early part of his knock before he switched gears later on to finish with 74 off 52 balls.

His achievement helped Pakistan post a strong 195 for 5 after opting to bat first, eventually winning the game by 69 runs.
