Huawei has introduced the Enjoy 70X Premium in China just days before the Mate 80 series launch. The new model is almost identical to the Enjoy 70X announced earlier this year, but comes with an upgraded chipset and new color choices.
Given its price point, this new Huawei phone is now the cheapest phone with satellite communication.
Design and Display
The Premium edition features a 6.78-inch AMOLED curved display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen includes a pill-shaped cutout at the top for the front camera and uses an in-display fingerprint scanner. Huawei is offering the device in three color options: Obsidian Black, Sand Gold, and Starry Blue.
Internals and Software
The Enjoy 70X Premium is powered by the octa-core Kirin 8000 chipset. Huawei combines the processor with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The phone also supports satellite communication, allowing users to send text or image messages in areas where there is no network coverage. It runs HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Cameras
The phone carries a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, the handset has an 8MP selfie camera placed inside the pill-shaped hole on the display.
Battery and Pricing
Huawei has equipped the Enjoy 70X Premium with a 6,100 mAh battery that supports 40W wired charging. The phone is already available in China. Pricing is set at $265 for the 8GB/256GB version and $310 for the 8GB/512GB model.
