The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has announced a major shift in its plot allotment process by introducing QR-coded allotment letters for all approved housing schemes.
The Director-General said the system will prevent any scheme from selling more plots than are legally allowed, as QR codes will be generated only for the exact number of available plots.
During a meeting chaired by RDA DG Kinza Murtaza, officials received new departmental responsibilities aimed at improving performance and service delivery.
She directed the Estate Management wing to ensure cleanliness, lighting, water supply and access routes across all thirteen RDA-approved housing schemes under the Suthra Punjab initiative.
Kinza Murtaza said she will personally visit each private scheme to verify cemetery land, boundary measurements and the presence of required public-use facilities. She added that parks, commercial areas, dispensaries, playgrounds and roads must physically exist on site as approved.
The DG also reiterated her commitment to pursuing cases related to irregularities in University Town Housing Scheme. She said the RDA must operate as a strong and effective development authority and welcomed constructive media criticism.
