The Sindh government has launched a fresh initiative to provide jobs to the children of provincial employees who passed away while still serving, following recent directives from the courts.
The Services, General Administration and Coordination Department has issued notices to all departments, asking them to compile and submit details of positions earmarked under the death quota by tomorrow. The goal is to ensure that the required appointments are completed without delay.
Letters have been circulated to senior officials, including the heads of the Planning and Development Board, Board of Revenue, and the Chief Minister’s Inquiry and Inspection Team.
Similar instructions have also been sent to the Anti-Corruption Establishment, secretaries of all provincial ministries, and the offices of both the governor and chief minister. Divisional commissioners across Sindh have been asked to gather and forward the necessary information as well.
This development comes after the Supreme Court ordered the reinstatement of the death quota policy, which had earlier been discontinued by the provincial government. The renewed compliance aims to secure employment for the dependents of public servants who lost their lives during duty, helping families who suddenly lose their main source of income.

Let’s remove the little quota left for actual merit-based candidates to these people now, great.
What nonsense is this ? So just being born to a govt employee gets you a job ?
